RIP to Alan Rickman. One of the greatest actors of all time. Snape was his most powerful role ever. The man who always seemed evil and dark actually wanted nothing more than to protect his students and stop the dark lord for good. McGonagall had no idea at this time he was undercover for dumbledore, so she lashed out(but we get to see how badass she truly is) Snape promised Lillian Potter that he would keep her son safe.
