It’s crazy how Delores wasn’t the main antagonist in the franchise yet she was 10x more despicable than Voldemort.

I saw a comment saying Mcgonagall took one step below Umbridge not because she can't oustand her, but because when disloyalty was mentioned, her loyalty was to the students behind her as if she's protecting them. Such a wholesome teacher 💕

McGonagall was such an underestimated character! She loved her students and would do anything to protect them.

Notice how McGonagall and Umbridge take higher steps each time they are trying to challenge one another, growing more distant from the students but when Umbridge takes one final step too far, McGongall takes one step back towards the students as if she is declaring her loyalty is with the students.

As a kid I never fully understood the movies or characters so I had assumed Professor McGonagall was one of the bad ones that hated Harry. As an adult and watching the movies again I am glad to be wrong and she is actually one of my favorite characters and I wish she had more screen time.
