In the last video, I explained why Arminian theology is not Pelagian. Another common accusation is that Arminian theology is Semi-Pelagian. But is it? In this video, I explain why Arminian theology is not Semi-Pelagian, but rather affirms the necessity of grace moving before we ever make a decision for Christ.

So as someone who isn't a Calvinist nor an Arminian I have a question. Is prevenient grace saving grace?

Because if it isn't saving, then it seems to me that Arminianism is effectively S. Pelagianism without a meaningful distinction. Where the S. Pelagian says God is "gracious" to give everyone eyes to see, while the Arminian says you're born blind due to original sin, but God is "gracious" to give everyone glasses to see. It's just in both systems it's up to you whether you use them or not.

While on the other hand if it is saving, that choosing to follow Jesus is just the Natural outflow of irresistible grace, then it seems to me that Arminianism is just Calvinism without a meaningful distinction. Because I know that Calvinists would say grace precedes regeneration as well.

So if I'm missing any help would be appreciated :)

Yeah but you still believe that you can still reject the grace given to you
