Healing Progress Of Second Degree Burns

I suffered some pretty bad burn injuries and bubble blisters working on a car while it was still hot. One of the coolant hoses burst and sprayed my arms and chest. I am grateful it was not worse.

I learned the hard way to always let the car cool down first before starting the job.

Bossman im sorry that happened to you. Got me too. Explosion came from my right . Got my right arm inside left arm right side of my head head and neck right leg thigh down left leg inside ear lips face . 3 months peeled like a catfish. Lots of drugs and red wine. Very little scarring. Pain was amazing.

I've second degree burns on my foot and can conform that it's not as bad as it looks (my mom was a nurse before I was born)

My husband just got burned on both arms by a torch hose busting and flames shot at him. We went to ER and they claim it's 2nd degree. My question is how often did you clean and dress your arms ? They told us use lots of Vaseline for the skin

I feel into my fireplace on my drunk birthday. And went to bed. Next day forced my drunk self to the Dr. They said I will need a skin graft months down the road. It went from slight red, to blister, to complete black crust, peeling, white and pussing, and 2yrs later can barely tell it’s there. Why? The nurse from Lebanon said use organic/sea salt and not the cream the Dr prescribed. I washed it gently, put salt, lightly bandaged and half the day left it open. Now there’s almost no trace and ZERO irregularities in the skin smoothness. There’s no uneven layer or dents or irregularities or anything. No skin graft needed!!

Did your arm feel hot. Especially as then blood would circulate? I burned my feet. And right arm recently. My right is the worst and feels hot, especially after redressing.

Hello, my 14 monts baby got burn 20 days ago, he had 3 surgical dressings .
The doctor gave to me Vit A for applying on skin, but I observed that it darkens too fast .
i finaly decided to remplace vit A with Ialuset cream .
In your case, how long did you use the sulfadiazine and before starting the aquaphor? THANKS.
