I’d recommend running the burn under water or putting it in water. Do not put ice on it.

If you live in the UK just use cold water, lots of cold water. If it's bad enough wrap it LOOSELY with plastic wrap after cooling the area with lots of cold water and seek NHS treatment. Don't use anything other than water. Just imagine how much it's going to hurt if they have to clean vaseline off your burn at the hospital before they can treat you.

Thank you for talking about 4th degree burns. Shudder. I learned in my training as a field medic 4th degree is when the burn is on the bone

Depending on how severe it is I have severe burns but I would advise not to put ice on it as It could damage the skin but you can use ice packs

My worst burn I’ve ever had was in a beach in Florida in 2019, I put on sunscreen but not on my feet because I didn’t think I needed to😐 when I got in the car on our way home my brother stepped on one of my feet, keep in mind that I had no shoes, my brother had tennis shoes and the blister popped and hurt more, both of my feet had 2nd degree burns but the one he stepped on was worse, what’s worse is I had a mini heart attack when I got home cuz I was on the couch with my blanket and I couldn’t get my blanket off cuz the foot were the blister popped was caught, I don’t remember if I called for my mom or if I texted her or called her but I do know she was able to get it off and told me to not cover the blanket on my feet so it doesn’t get stuck again and I think it was the next day when my mom got these big bandage things for both my feet so I didn’t have to worry about blankets getting caught but also because and it was probably the most likely reason which was because I had some church thing so that way I could wear shoes, I also remember going to an arcade with a friend and I still had those bandages on cuz unlike regular burns which takes a few days, 2nd degree burns take 1 week or more, I also remember walking on my heels or something before I got those bandages and I was ether on my bed or the couch, I also live in Florida so it’s kinda funny and that wasent the first time I went to Florida ether, my first time was we meant to the beach and my parents said we were going home after so me and my siblings weren’t to happy that sand and wind was in our face cuz their was a storm and my dad gave me a note and I was reading it in the storm too but it didn’t matter cuz it said how we were actually going home and that we were going to Disney world for 7 days and we would see Magic Kingdom on mine and my twin brothers birthday which was our 8th birthday and I found out later that they planned on it being on my birthday because it was my favorite Disney princess which is true and I saw her on my birthday
