Thank you very much for this. My Philips Android TV would freeze while playing video (usually Netflix), audio would be uninterrupted but video would freeze-frame, and eventually crash, returning to the home screen. I would unplug/plug back in and it wouldn't fix the problem. After watching this video, unplugged for over 60 secs before plugging back in. Problem solved for me. Yeah sonce the update this week july 2024 the tv used to always come on to the home screen whare all the smart screen is now it comes on the antenna setting and stays black screen till i press the home button it's quite annoying

lol, video about un-plug/plug tv from the wall XD... what if it does not solve the problem? my back light is on, ambilight too, remote respont only on OFF/ON but nothing appears on the tv.. everything unplugged..

A hard reset is needed, when the TV is in an endless boot loop (never fully boots then starts over, endlessly). No one seems to know of a way to do this level of a hard reset!

Its been a while but I need help with my TV. I cant even get to the settings menu! I hit the Home button, it thinks for about 25 seconds, shows part of my Home screen and shuts off. If I leave the TV on and do nothing, it restarts after about a minute. I can use my Netflix button to open the app and it runs perfectly! If I run an app going the long way through the Options menu, i had better be quick because the TV with restart before I can "Open" the app. I'd love to be able to Factory Reset but it wont stay on long enough. But I can connect a DVD player and play a movie with no interruption. Wtf is going on! As I've sat and typed this out on my phone, the darn thing has restarted on its own at least 4 times! 🤦‍♀️😭

Did not solve the problem. My tv keeps coming on and off over and over when you unplug it. The Remote does not work either when the tv keeps coming on and off back and forth.

How are we supposed to do that when you don’t have a screen? This guy is slow and boring and a complete waste of time.
