The Bible taught me that pride is a sin.
And that there was nothing I could do to save me from within.

Pride lied when it said I can achieve anything if I tried.

About why God told Abraham to listen to Sarah to throw out Ishmael, it is interesting to note that it was because Abraham listened/obeyed Sarah suggestion to sleep with Hagar at first. Abraham had the power and authority to decline Sarah's suggestion and trust the promise of the Lord, but he chose to to listen to his wife and took hagar anyway. You can see this in Genesis 16:5, Sarah said it was Abraham's RESPONSIBILITY, and Abraham knew this based on the next verse.

At 32:41 Satan messes with the audio of what is probably very important social doctrine husbands need to hear in order to prevent their desires to divorce and destroy their children and wives emotionally as they chase desires of their hearts with harlots. I was not shocked that the audio messed up at that exact moment. Please someone who was there or can read lips better than me let us know.. Also If men love God and desire what God says is good then they will choose to keep their vow each day to love, honor and cherish the good wife of their youth God has given them. Divorce happens often when men get caught up in emotions (like selfishness or love of self and contempt for wives and children) and try to place the burden of head of household to women who feel like split personalities and crack under the pressure of trying to do BOTH roles. They will fail and men divorcing them is cruel and selfish because it will NEVER help the children as studies even at Liberal schools show as it prolongs the women to stay in roles that stress them as vessels so they cannot parent the way God intended and be healthy for the kids. That is why adultery and divorce lead to so many other social ills and is like a curse that follows their offspring.
