You'd have to be an idiot to say that neither team has a chance. Before Saban bama was just another good team. I think Ou could compete right now and Texas has the foundation all they need is a coach whether or not Sark is that guy remains to be seen. Atm weren't exactly world beaters in the big12 and they seem to be on the right path and Mizzou had some initial success themselves.

Can OU or UT be the next Alabama? Yes, of course they can. All they need is an all-time great head coach who can recruit. It's unlikely, but possible.

Hey Dave, the great Mack Brown won only TWO championships in his time in the Big XII. They were always finishing second to Stoops and OU in the old BIg XII south. Texas is now on its third Coach trying to reach that status.

Short answer, NO. The conference is not what made Alabama, Alabama. Nick Saban made Alabama, Alabama. The SEC will be harsh on Texas and Oklahoma, but over the long term, Oklahoma will fair better in my opinion.

Texas and ou will dethrone Alabama.. texas and ou will force the sec to play big 12 football and the sec won't be able to hang.. they used to 3 yards and a cloud of dust type of football.. its gonna get real

Texas can be the next Bama if Saban coaches them or if you can convince Jimmy Johnson to come out of retirement lol. Bama is great because they are willing to fork out a fortune for a top coach. There is nothing magical about Alabama itself it starts and end with the Head Coach and staff.

Fact of the matter is the sec players will have to lay off the twinkies if they wanna compete with Oklahoma. . And kids are gonna flock to Norman now that we are in the sec.

Anything is Possible, but going to be a lot harder. Oklahoma has a legit chance. Texas is still got a ways to go. If these teams were in SEC for 2021 Season Oklahoma would go 10 - 2 and Texas would go 7 - 5 maybe 8 - 4.

It's not a question of the dogs of the SEC eventually wanting to jump ship, it's a question of how long until the blue bloods dump the dogs. It's hard to kick a school out of a conference, but it's less hard to leave and start your own elite conference.

If OU or UT could be as good as Alabama, why haven't they already while in Big12, a supposed lesser conference? Teams like OSU And K-State beat their asses on the regular. So in SEC it'll be not different.
