Thanks for watching. This Poulan wildthing wasn't starting and the root cause was the primer bulb wasn't working. On further inspection it turns out to be much worse. It needed new fuel lines and carb work. Please check out my other videos and consider subscribing. Thank you.

Thank you for this awesome easy to follow video! My dad had this exact chainsaw that had been sitting a while and he wasn't sure why it wasn't running, nor did he really have much need for it anymore. I took it and ordered the tune up kit, but your video helped walk me through everything to tear it down and rebuild it. Runs like a top now, thanks again!

This is without a doubt one of the best videos I have seen dealing with fuel line replacement on a Poulan chainsaw. And the reason I am here just happens to be that I have this exact chainsaw out in my garage and I will now go out and fix it! I have also "subscribed" and will now catch all your repair tips! Many Thanks!

I watched several other videos and still couldn’t figure it out. Watched yours and had my saw running in 15 minutes. Thanks

Your the only one who showed how to hook up the fuel hoses, it’s a pain to figure those things out when they have rotted off! Thank You you saved my sanity!

Thank You for doing this video - It was very helpful and saved me hours and hours of unnecessary labor. You did a great job illustrating the location and placement of fuel lines. Much Appreciated!

This is great. That is my chainsaw! I love that little saw but it has been unused for years so I'm sure I will have to do everything you showed in the video. Thanks for doing this. The lawn mower shop in my town is awful. Every time I walk in with a tool, they say without even having a look at it. "Oh I can tell you right now your going to need new gas lines a new carburetor and who knows what else. You might as well just buy a new one. I have several to choose from" I dropped off my chainsaw and they called me the next day and told me the same thing and "why don't you buy a real chainsaw. I have these stihl saws over here" I left with my saw and upon inspecting it could tell by the dirt on the housing that he had never taken it apart.

This video is perfect! Tutorial worked perfectly in my case on a Poulan Wild Thing that hadn’t ran in 10yrs, crumbling lines and mine took two reset turns on the high and low. I had to turn idle screw 1.5 turn clockwise to idle a proper speed so that it’d not die easily. After bout 7 seconds it will die but will stay running if I rev up a lil with trigger throttle as to keep it from dying.

Good job, on the repair and video. I think your process works on about 20 other models of Poulan saws, slight differences in carb, fuel line sizes, etc.Drain the tank and run the carb empty is a good idea, use fuel stabilizer is another, use ethanol-free fuel is another and precludes water being absorbed into fuel and fuel lines don't harden/crack. A good video on mixture screw adjustment would be nice, if you can find time. Keep it up, good advice seems hard to find on YouTube anymore.

Best video I have been able to find with clear detailed description for routing and repairing the fuel lines for this model - Thanks a lot.

Great video. They don't make saws nowhere near the way they did years ago. Pretty much disposable now days.

This is the best repair video for this model. Excellent!. With that said my carburetor is stuck against the housing. I will give a light tap to see if that loosens it from the housing.

Perfect video. Explained everything so well. With these instructions, I was able to fix a chainsaw that I was just about to throw in the trash.

Thanks for this. I have a husqy 455 rancher that I suspect has a leaky fuel line hence the starting and idling problems. The primer bulb is the tell.

Such a funny name for a gas powered tool. The funnier thing is that they even made a 50th anniversary one in 1997, there is one for sale in my area and I kind of want it
