is it me or James Cameron knows how to politely throw shade into a movie? without making it look like he is actually throwing shade??

James Cameron is basically a sociologist and definitely realist when it comes to his art even if it's fantasy or extra terrestrial he always portrays things in a very surreal way and that's what's so beautiful and captivating about his work.

I think all he wants to say is that, it's just not his style. He's more into physically realistic type of visuals that the audience could relate and feel. like, to really show how it really is underwater. Imagine you were born under the sea and spent your whole life in the water, what he's trying to say is, regarding aquaman, is that actually how it would look like? But since it's a comic film and can rely more into animated effects and take fiction as a reason to believe, it would be acceptable. By the way, i'm a fan of aquaman. It's beautiful.

I love how the only reason they are asking James Cameron about Aquaman is because Entourage season 2.

The Aquaman movie’s appeal wasn’t that it was cinema or had some fantastic shakespearian plot or oscar acting but that it was a visually masterfully made movie. Aquaman had some fantastic visuals and likeable lead. Aquaman isn’t built to be a cinematic masterpiecez

Oh god! its exactly how I felt watching Aquaman, there's no logic to some of the underwater battle and fight scenes. is Aquaman flying? or does is it mind over water.

Hey people stop arguing here. The ultimate point is Cameron is not a superhero movie director. So his asthetic lies in making a sci fi movies which are still grounded in reality.
