Actually, he was given a book by Arnold Swcharzenegger by Semyon Bek (arnies old strength coach) who said he had astral travelled as a child to many different worlds and as a very old man was persuaded to write an account of his experiences. One of those worlds is EXTREMELY close to avatar

What if.. as ludicrous as it sounds.. Aliens projected Jim Cameron to make this movie so that we as a specie gets slowly accustomed to the idea of Aliens and as well as living with them. Because one day they’ll just pop up and be like “Hello! We’re your new neighbors!”.
