There's also the tiny problem that in any scenario where Chinese boots manage to land on Taiwan's shores, the Taiwanese would probably annihilate their own factories out of spite and pack all their microchip engineers on a squadron of US and Japanese evacuation aircraft, escorted by dozens of F-22s. Pooboi wants the TSMC factory complex, and Taiwan would sooner pauper itself than let him have it.

I remember a while back I read about a war game that they did for an invasion of Iran and the general representing the Iranian side did so well that they literally started the whole game over and essentially rigged the game so that the US side would win.
