I'm not sure how the logic of this movie is set up.
The most important issue is that China claims that Taiwan is part of China, and the US somehow recognizes that Taiwan is not an independent country.
And when China, which historically has never waged a foreign war of aggression, tries to unify Taiwan, there's no reason why it would choose to attack the US first.
Assuming that it is to pre-empt U.S. intervention in the event of a strike on Taiwan, the question then becomes, would the U.S. really join with all of its NATO allies to intervene if China simply attacked Taiwan?
Although Biden did vaguely claim that he would. But what would be the rationale for the U.S. to send in troops? Would U.S. soldiers be willing to risk a missile attack in defense of the Taiwanese? Wouldn't Biden have concerns about a Chinese counterattack as a result of intervention?

Further, if China had simply attacked Taiwan before the U.S. carried out its armed intervention, the war would have been limited to Taiwan's neighborhood. The U.S., on the other hand, had traveled thousands of miles across the Pacific to deliver its military.
Without suffering any attack from China, the U.S. and NATO drove their troops to China's doorstep. Look at it this way, who is actually invading whom? Note: The US itself recognizes the one China principle, and Taiwan is not an independent country.

Conclusion: I don't think China will attack outside of Taiwan first, and if Taiwan's declaration of independence touches the bottom line of mainland China, China will certainly start a war against Taiwan, and the US and its allies will just stand by and watch.
