Taiwan: 'China is preparing for war,' says former Taiwanese navy captain

China's military has finished two days of military drills around Taiwan in the greatest escalation in tension across the Taiwan Strait since 2022.

China characterised the two day drills as "punishment", while Taiwan insists it won't be cowed by Chinese pressure.

The Taiwain people remind me of the Ukraine people before Putin struck. They werent worried about war and i remember them saying on the news a few days before bombs started dropping on them from Russia that there was no way a war would happen. Famous last words
