I took DNA tests with both companies because I do not know where I was born, nor who were my parents and a DNA test was my only way to get answers. I did 23andMe first. I match to a first cousin and her son, and their willingness to share who there close family are, led me to virtual certainty who my birth father was.
Uploading those results to MyHeritage, let me to a connection on the maternal side who passed my request for further information on to him mother who shared the request with one of her first cousins. She agreed to talk with me and a three hour conversation helped me to narrow down who my birth mother probably was to one of three sisters. Further conversation and research led to the most likely option. As most of that family was tested at AncestryDNA, I have sent that test in to confirm what I suspect, or provide another answer.
That test connected me to a half-sister who knew who our birth mother was. She was not one of those sisters. I now know who all three of my half-sisters are. I have a still unknown half-brother.

I chose Ancestry DNA and I liked it..I've noticed that 23andme tends to be able to read Native American blood lines better. I've watched several postings where people used both and 23andme picked up Native American blood lines where Ancestry didn't. I still like Ancestry better tho..

Hey bro, I'm similarly split up into 3 ethncities like yourself, except instead of African, I'm around 50-60% Indian. The rest is similiar though with the east Asian and the 25% Irish/English. Peace, my mixed brother!

Ancestry also uses more snippets of dna, and as you said more samples, because I am part Cherokee and the government has always tested us and there is no test Cherokee dna if your eastern band only, it will come back more middle easterners, North African so you can read about that, I think you made wonderful points why not too take, sometimes its love not rape, one of the best I’ve scene. Really embracing diversity, and you can still relate and identify yourself with a certain bloodline. Great job.

Hey Ben. Nice review. I wish more YouTube videos were this funny AND informative. I think I'd opt for 23andMe (sounds like a dating app) because of the health markers you can look into. I had to give my DNA so many times when I was in Con College that I feel I should have got a free report. Genetic testing is interesting, but I sometimes wonder how accurate the companies are.
