I found my sister on ANCESTRY which led to me finding my mother and a brother. I’ve looked for over 45 years for anything on my real family. Also my sister was lied to about who her real father was. Also, a friend of mine, found out that her dad wasn’t really her dad, she discovered three brothers. DNA doesn’t lie. Now some cold cases are being reopened and criminals are being caught with DNA left behind. Innocent people are being let out of jail. Thank God for DNA!!

THE BEST ANCESTRY TUTORIAL ON YOUTUBE SO FAR, YOU EXPLAINED THE THING BETTER THEN THE PEOPLE FROM ANCESTRY AND 23AND ME.,

Something to add is that if you keep your DNA on the 23andMe Database they will send you emails for whatever new feature they add. For example, when I took the test the neanderthal thing wasn't a feature yet and then when it became one they sent me my results for that. So you get a lot more bang for your buck on 23andme

23 and me can also provide your percentage of risk of getting certain diseases, muscle density and build and much more compared to ancestry DNA

Rarely does one see such an intelligent totally unbiased comparison. Most of the time when someone is comparing and evaluating two things, even if they give the pros and cons of each, will still state or imply which one they have an overall better impression of. Unlike most she managed to avoid that. She could do this for a living because after this one video I'd be more inclined to trust her comparisons of other things.

Excellent videos/comparisons! Well done! I had already done mine through 23 and Me -before the recent legal issues, so I had literally hundreds of pages of information sent to me. It's worth noting that the FDA required them to cut back on the information they provided as it hadn't been fully "proven" -but since then they have added nearly everything back after having met the standards of proof required. It's also worth noting that they continue to update and refine their results. When I visit the site today I get more details than I originally got a few years ago.

I will add one thing -My DNA test showed a very high propensity for colon cancer. At 49, my first colonoscopy was at least a year away -but my doctor used the DNA results to get my insurance company to agree to doing the test early. The result was the removal of 9 cancerous polyps, very likely saving my life. If I had waited until 54-55 that would have been advanced colon cancer. Clean bill of health now. It just goes to show how important this genetic information can be. No one in my family had ever been diagnosed with colon cancer, so I might easily have put off the screening... Knowing your DNA is powerful!

Thank you for this. My mother & uncle were kidnapped as kids & my mom found out after my uncle passed away. To this day, my mother doesn’t know who her parents actually are. There is a cover up going on & her “father” refuses to tell her the truth. This might help my family find the truth.

Send your picture to Ford models. You are so stunning. I think you would make money modelling. Straight female talking.

I really liked your video. It was informative and straight to the point, unlike so many that I've seen where people just rattle on to hear themselves talk. Now - I took the Ancestry DNA test to find out how much Native American I had in my DNA from my fathers side. To my surprise I found out that the man that raised me, who I called dad all my life, was not my biological father. Both my parents are deceased so I had my siblings tested and it was confirmed that I am half siblings with all of them and they are full siblings with each other. We share the same relatives that I know are from my mothers side but they don't share other relatives with me. The most major surprise is that I found out that I am biracial. I have European second cousins that my siblings don't have. I decided to also take the 23andme DNA test to see if perhaps I can find another half sibling on my biological fathers side and maybe find out who he was. I'm not sure if he is still alive as I am in my 50's. I am still coming to terms with the fact that my life has pretty much been a lie and I'm a bastard. Maybe I'll change my last name to Snow!

What I like about Ancestry is through the years they have updated my dna results four times, narrowing it down more and more each time. As more and more ppl around the world continue to take these tests and add to the data base the dna pool is bigger and bigger and somehow they’re able to get more and more precise percentages and stuff. I also like that they visually show you with a video the most likely path your ancestors traveled to get to the country you were born in.

I haven't used 23andme but on Ancestry I was able to find lost family members through census data... i was also able to find images of the ships my italian ancestors came to america on...it's a goldmine of information.

I think the genetics part of 23 and me sounds more interesting being a biology major and all. I'm thinking about choosing them.
