The issue I have with my situation is everything was tight until I pulled out of the drive shaft because I noticed I had a leaking pinion seal then I noticed my U joints were bad which also messed up the pinion bearing on my differential so I had to go in and replace all the bearings in my differential to

I have a 2003 F150 4 wheel drive automatic. I notice when is shift it makes a clunky sound. I think it might be U joint. What do you think?

Is it important to mark the driveshaft in relationship to the transmission and rear flange?

Question: I see you and a few others on u- tube using the red tacky grease. Do you feel that’s a better option over the green HD grease for front end & or u-joints.?
& secondly: Do you feel it’s maybe better to go with a higher end u- joint over the big box auto stores stuff.?
The reason I ask is because I’ve had to re-replace quit a few parts from new “China” parts from them. Everything from brakes to pulleys..
Just wanted to hear your thoughts on that.

mine only happens during acceleration, and when up to speed it stops, i checked and it’s not a wheel bearing. when i’m in first gear it doesn’t have much play but it’s got maybe an inch up and down and also turning, is that a u-joint problem or pinion problem you think?

When I accelerate I hear a clicking sound...almost like a card on a bycycle tire. Do you think it could be the u joints?

When I switch from reverse to drive I hear like a flank noise from under my car, it’s not coming from the engine. Mechanics at my job said it’s the U joint but I don’t know anything about it

Can't you just add tranny fluid through the dip-stick holder?
