As someone with ADD I’m high key insulted. How the hell does this test prove anything? My mom who doesn’t have ADD or ADHD is absolutely terrible at this, but I’m able to do it no problem. I honestly just don’t understand the reasoning behind this video at all

I have diagnosed ADD and I can’t believe what I just watched. Forgetfulness, disorganised, day dreaming, anxiety, stress, lack of motivation, fatigue, boredom, struggle to pay attention/ focus. These are all just some of the symptoms experienced with ADD and nothing to do with how quickly you can work out a colour when attached to a word in order to make it more confusing. This video is a joke 😂

Also with ADD you can very much still focus heavily on things that are enjoyable and that stimulate you, a quick little challenge like this is easy to focus on.. if you timesed the length of this x10 then it might be a more accurate test!

This is dumb. I have a.d.d and I zipped through this.

I get frustrated a lot because I’m more than ever aware of it. I catch myself drifting off or split second catching whatever moves my attention towards it. It’s annoying because I’d do it during conversations with someone or when I have to fully focus on one thing.. sucks

The second test called the stroop test isn't used to diagnose ADD/ADHD. It's used to measure the cognitive abilities of the brain when there are conflicting stimuli during a psychological investigation. Messing up on these tests is very common. Taking longer than some on the stroop test doesn't you have a disorder of any kind. It depends on the person.

Is another sign of ADD also constantly interrupting and talking over people on morning shows ?

That is dum a person who can't read but knows the name of the colour can easily ace the test it's not because you are distracted but your brain trying to make sense of different stimulus and trying to make decisions cause that is how brain stores information using connection you associate word red with colour red i can imagine a person with grapheme synesthesia having a lot harder time with this problem then normal person.

I am fatigued... However, I use to practice this skill when I was younger. Comparing now from then, I had way more stamina as a young child, even in my adolescence. In the reflection from then to now, I am so extremely burnt out. Though, I really do not think much about how I feel sometimes... I rather focus my energy on those that need help, like I did when I was down and I am still coming up.

I took it twice. 1st time 23 seconds the 2nd time 33 seconds. What does this mean? Very overestimulated with this test. No I haven't been tested due ADHD but trying to get assessed by someone soon.
