Straight Leg Raises

Показать описание
Straight leg raises. In this example, the operative leg is the patient's left leg. Lying down on your back, bend your non-operative leg so your foot is flat on the surface for support. Keeping your operative knee straight, tighten your thigh muscle and slowly raise your leg up off the bed working toward a height that is in line with your non-operative leg. Hold for five seconds then slowly lower your leg back to the surface then relax. In general, this exercise will help to strengthen your hip and thigh muscles, and it will help you regain range of motion in your knee. Work up to five reps, two to three times per day. Do this exercise with each leg. Don't hold your breath while doing this exercise.
