- [Narrator] Straight leg raises.
Begin by lying on your back with affected leg straight ahead of you and your unaffected leg bent with the foot flat on the floor.
Start by contracting your quadriceps muscle and then, raising it off the bed about eight inches.
Hold this position for five seconds.
One, two, three, four, five.
The leg is slowly lowered and the quadricep muscle is then relaxed.
Do two sets of 10 repetitions twice a day for five days a week.
