Have you heard of red light therapy and its supposed anti aging benefits per Bryan Johnson, Andrew Huberman and Joe Rogan. Well, as an investigator, I couldn't resist putting this therapy to the test for 6 months straight to see if it could reverse my facial age. I was initially skeptical at first, but what I discovered was shocking. The effects were shockingly real and went beyond just physical improvements. Join me on this journey as I share my investigative findings and reveal whether red light therapy is the real deal or just another fad.

It would be nice if you said you were sponsored by the producer of the led panel. This is a review of the product that they offered you for free.

The photos of your face are not identically illuminated. In the "old" image you can see two tiny reflected spots over the pupil in each eye. In the "wow, it's shiny, " the reflected illumination image is clearly much, much bigger/brighter. I'd be far more impressed with two images using identical lighting.

Probably the most comprehensive, well explained red light therapy I've watched so far. I literally learned a lot and most of the parameters you mentioned are the details I actually need when shopping for red light therapy devices. Thank you for making this video :)

Hi - this video is very well done. One correction we would make - it is is not necessarily true that the more LEDs there are the longer they will last. LED chip efficiency depends on a large number of factors including: the class of compound semiconductor used to make the LED, the structure (doping, thickness, composition) of the semiconductor layers in the LED chip, electrode/contact design, light extraction structures added or created during fabrication of the LED chip, operating temperature and the current density. Current density is the amount of current per unit area of the LED chip. Of these factors, the most significant is the class of compound semiconductor used to make the LED chip.
Furthermore, LEDs in panels like ours use focusing lenses (also increases efficiency) and are typically driven much lower than their maximum (25%-50%) - minimizing heat creation to help ensure longevity. The bottom line is that there are several variables involved in the LED package and panel design, which will determine efficiency and longevity.
If you've enjoyed the benefits to your skin, we'd suggest trying a more full body setup! All the best - Team Mito

*You have explained more about red light in terms that I can understand and given sources more than other video I've seen on this subject.* *Thank You!*

The PhD that first spoke of the benefits of red light years ago, now deceased, said two red 250 watt halogen lamps from Home Depot do the job. Super cheap forget the big expensive lights

Your video is very informative. Thank you. I like the illustrations! Research has shown that consistency of use is the key to results found with RLT. So, I tried a RLT face mask. It was expensive, when I purchased it a year ago.I followed the manufacturer's recommendation for minutes of use and frequency of use. I do self-massage on my face. My 70 year old face has changed. The skin behaves like younger, plumper, more elastic skin, even under my chin. The visible sun damage has diminished. I now make sure to sleep 8 hours each night and eat foods, daily, to help my body to make healthy skin.Sunscreen and moisturizers are essential to my skincare, now.

Knowing expressively the materials used to make these devices the cost they are selling them for is outrageous

Thank you Manik! I LOVE the science and evidenced based science and breakdown of how red light therapy works and what it is doing. Especially the different wave lengths. I appreciate your time and efforts in bringing and sharing this information. Your work has helped me to move forward, purchase a red light and begin therapy. Many thanks!

Skincare is sooo important, it's hard to put into words. Red light therapy has transformed my skin, improving its texture and reducing wrinkles. At 46, people often think I'm much younger! Got my RLT panel from Future Form Official, and it's affordable.

Interesting

$1800 device to provide convenient at home treatments taking only 5 to 10 minutes multiple times per week (makes it easy to reliably do treatment)

Vs

Clinics charge $25 to $150 per session, not counting travel time to/from clinic and wait time at clinic. (More likely to skip treatments when you get busy.)

Plus can share device with spouse or family member.

LED’s should last years.

But there are much lower cost units that still work. It would be interesting to test the wavelength and power output to see if manufacturer specs on the cheap units are close enough to provide benefit.

What a great video!! Your explanation was super understandable. Thank you so much! You also have such grace and poise on the camera 👏👏

Have you seen the green and blue led lights?

I am researching this now for my face. But mainly for severe back pain, arthritis. Honestly I would do anything to get some relief and function back. If I could sleep better that would rock my world.

I use a 14$ infrared bulb from my local farm supply and have for YEARS. Helps with the redness of my teenager’s acne flare ups. Works amazing.
