I'm so happy to see Marshall on breaking points. I think he's one of the best interviewers in the game.

As a lefty that usually gives it a short watch before passing on realignment content, this was one of the best interviews I've seen on the show yet.

The guest was interesting, good questions, and stuck to the facts. I was especially interested by the revelation of how differently Russians view nuclear missiles in terms of their use in war.

Good job, do more like this!

People confuse the invasion of Iraq with the occupation. The US had no business going into Iraq. That being said, it's important to remember that during the actual invasion, aside from a handful of Bathists, the majority of Iraqis hated Saddam and many wanted the US to get rid of him, they just didn't really want us to hang out for a decade after. The Russians don't have that in Ukraine.

Watching the commercial drone footage of Russians getting ambushed is telling. The drone shouldn’t even be in the air. In Iraq, we were jamming everything from 1 to 10 GHz. No cell phone. No Wi-Fi. No commercial drones. And I was part of teams on the periphery as a thermal spotter to prevent just those kind of ambushes in many cases. Do the Russians not know anything? Like I’m just amazed. My jaw is on the floor at how little they know. It’s actually shocking. A $500 FLIR from any hunting store in America could save their lives.

How is it in Russia's nature to use nukes. But america is the only country to actually use them against an enemy? 🤔

As someone from Finland. Here is a bit of a history lesson it was the Finns who invented the term Molotov Cocktail when Finland was fighting Soviet Union during World War 2. "Molotovin cocktail" in Finnish.

Heard this in a comment. Russia is never as powerful as it says and never as weak as it seems.

This was really good, I enjoyed this interview and the insights into how things are going or could go. It wasn't overly hopeful or all doom and gloom it felt realistic if that could be used.

SNAFUs should always be expected. From the American Revolution thru the Civil War to WWII, we always start slow. Napoleon and the Germans, who honed their skills in Poland (24 days IIRC) and France (6 weeks), had a great start, by any definition winning, and then...?
