Tried this method but some important things are different now. Kapwing now adds a watermark even if you have an account but more important is that the exported video is not in the 9;16 format but in normal horizontal because it adds the watermark on white bars at both sides.

Thanks for the tips about repurposing older content vertically. I started a new art channel and the shorts are getting amazing results. I have found it easier to just shoot the vids specifically with shorts in mind when working with art in iMovie because of the vertical limits but I will try Kapwing.

Great video. I made my first short with Kapwing. I just find that it to be really clunky and not great software. Also, they really push you to become a pro at $25 a month. Is there better video editing software out there that does the same thing?
