I am trying to create a video which I may upload to Youtube as a “Youtube Short”. I have taken a video looking straight down (thus there is no up or down) at a desk top, using a Canon M50 camera, with a ratio of 16:9. I would like to effectively say that the ratio should be 9:16, and I would like the entire video to rotate 90 (or 270) degrees so that the entire video is now at the 9:16 ratio. Thus I could upload it as a youtube short. In your video you have effectively removed parts of the 16:9 by cropping the video, I do not want to crop, I simply want everything in the video to rotate 90 degrees, and become a full sized 9:16 instead of its original 16:9. Do you know of a way to do this? I would very much appreciate any suggestions you have for accomplishing this task. Thank you.

I'm a viewer, and I would like to watch the vertical shorts in horizontal. Is there an easy way to do that?? I noticed if I leave a comment for a vertical short, then later go to my history, comments, and click on that comment, the video will pop up as horizontal (even if originally viewed as vertical). But it's the only way, and that's a hassle, because I don't want to have to leave a comment under every vertical video that I want to watch in horizontal. Hope that made sense, please let me know! I don't like viewing things in vertical!!

I downloaded this, looks like it MIGHT be able to help. What if my video content is too wide (2 people on the left and right of the 16:9 screen for example), so I want to shrink it down and have black lines on the top and bottom to keep the aspect ratio still on a 9:16 format? I can't find an option to do this in the app
