I went on a whole food diet. Meat, vegetables and fruit. I lost 53 pounds in 66 days. I was 220 and am now 167. At first I didn't count calories at all. Was losing a pound a day for the first two weeks. My appetite went away because real food keeps you full. No sugar no starch. I get my candy from fruit lol. Once my appetite dropped I started doing fasting all day until dinner I would eat 1000- 1500 cal. It's working to perfection. Must say without the fruit I was feeling weaker. We need sugar for fast energy. Just make sure it's fruit or honey

You definitely hit the jackpot in what works for weight loss - pre-portioned, no thinking, and that what you eat makes you feel full and satisfied and never starving. And the greatest thing I have discovered is to really viscerally get what enough feels like and that it is okay to be done for the moment, because the next time it is time for a portion or a treat, the food will be waiting for me and I won't be longing for it because I found some other things I also loved to do besides simply eat the rest of it (for me, it is knitting, reading, taking a walk, surfing the internet ;-)). I don't want to totally equate food with medicine, but I would never be tempted to take the rest of my pills in my bottle because I completely agree that my daily pill is the portion I am allowed, and truly need. That is how I think of food portions now. I don't want to binge anymore. I want to accept that my fridge and my pantry are like my pill bottles and I want the dose that keeps me healthy and glowing. I love to eat and I love to eat treats as well as nutritious food and I want eating to be a pleasure and not a punishment. Portion control, and keeping things simple is what has turned the tide.

I love your videos. I love that you say not to punish yourself. I start well then have a day where I fall off the wagon and get so frustrated with myself. I also become obsessed with weighing myself and get disappointed if the number doesn't go down. Thank you for your positive videos they really help

Your videos have helped me so much to lose weight. I have been binge-watching you guys for about a month and was so inspired to do what you recommended and my weight is falling off. Just today I was cleaning out some drawers and thought I was going to donate some old jeans that for years were way too small. The last time I tried them on, I could not even get them over my hips. Just for the hell of it, I tried them on today and I was ASTONISHED! THEY FIT! WTH?!!! I cannot thank you guys enough. I get so inspired by your positive energy. I love that you do videos on Costco products, because that is where I usually shop. Please keep the videos coming. Even if I hear the same stuff over and over again, I still love it because it is helping me to really get grounded in this way of eating. Your take on eating the serving sizes really clicked with me.
