Yea... if your goal is to just finish the marathon then the advice on long runs is solid. That being said, if you are chasing a respectable time, you simply have to incorporate marathon pace into those long runs.

Interesting one! Only thing I really want to understand more about is how to structure those speed/ treshold/ tempo sessions… Those always feel very “random” to me. I want to learn to make them myself, but I cant find the right information

Using your 16wk program for my first, this coming May. Really enjoying it. I have entered a half marathon on Sunday. It's supposed to have been a 24km long iirc, but I needed to see how running among lots of other runners is. Will try and keep my pace as low as my previous long runs. I do wish I'd found this video earlier.

rest on Saturday and Monday? I don't agree. Rest should be dispersed by the week. If you make rest on Saturday, next rest day should be Tuesday. Dont need to have rest before and after long run! After long rum makes very good to make an recovery run from long run! Next day rest (Rest should be gym, pool, bicycle)....
