Once again one of your videos has made this lad in Rowlands Gill very happy and his son (chief taste tester) extremely happy! 😉

We regularly visit Spain and they don't have scones in their bakeries my wife always looks forward to scones on getting home to Belfast I'll get her to try this on our next trip to Spain. Thanks for your time and effort to make these clips they look simple to make and look very tasty.

Nothing like a good home-made scone... they were always on the menu at morning and afternoon tea. I think the wood-stove, that everything was cooked in, made them even better. GG, ta.

Hi John I’m a new subscriber from New Zealand. I made these with my Granddaughter, she was so excited to present them to her mum and get a big thumbs up.

Those looks great John! My grandma used to make amazing scones. She always used to add an egg to the mix, and kept a little to brush over the top of the scones before they went in the oven!

My first batch, three weeks ago, were just lovely. Direach alainn! The next door neighbors returned an excellent review. So I thought I would try again, using buttermilk this time, and in a mood of generousity I made a double recipe. Something went a bit wrong. Instead of 30 I turned out 44 beautiful 2.5 inch scones! I got tired of re-rolling dough, so the last 7 were triangular. Using buttermilk, I found that I needed a bit more than 400 ml, 75 to 100. Thank you for an excellent recipe and video! You Da King, John!! 😄

Johns recipes are spot on. I'm no cook, but follow his recipes exactly and you can't go wrong. Tried quite a few during lockdown. Not only did it pass an afternoon, but it was enjoyable, therapeutic and...tasty!
