First tip: fight an opponent who can't properly throw a 1-2

Opponent called him, texted him, set an alarm, sent him a tracking number and knocked on the door just before his punch was delivered.

Easiest way to slip a punch is to make it the only punch available, that way you know its coming. E.g. In a southpaw stance touching and hold the opponents lead hand to bait the cross. Know the common combinations, know the common counters to every punch and after that its all timing and baiting (and of course technique).

A wise man once said if a man's moving his head to much go for the body

Many guys are just very gifted and talented, and they are really quick and have a natural ability to see, anticipate, and slip punches very effectively.

And that's why one should always pound the body first because one can't move the body as easily as the head. Pounding the body will take away the legs and the lungs. Once those are gone, the head moves much slower. Naoya Inoue is the perfect example of a fighter who relentlessly pounds his opponents' bodies. They simply wilt under his constant body attacks.

Perfect takedown entry on the second one

If you are fighting a street or someone who doesn’t care how they hurt you, don’t slip the jab and give them the back of your head, they will hook the back of your head.

Easy to dodge when dude is throwing lollipops at you

My man literally threw both punches once, if he fainted the jab and you slipped with that opening and distance all he has to do is follow up with his right and you go night night.

I got Fulton by decision as long as he stays discipline and doesn’t try to brawl with Inoue he’s going to win . Don’t sleep on Fulton he has sneaky power that can put down Inoue

One feint and you'll end up getting a direct left/right hook, with you running into it

It’s nice to see people using their head more and at least trying to learn how to create offense

Helps when your opponent punches like he's on dial up.

These guys who get hard of boxing outmatched opponents make me sick.

Also a plus, if you keep your hand on a lower guard you can move your head more easily

His footwork resembles joe walcotts and his slipping too

You can’t help feeling a lot of people hear just learnt some boxing basics and are now schooling you. There are many ways to slip, many ways to throw a 1-2 in different rhythms and all of them can be hard to avoid if you don’t time it right. I thought you looked good, nice work!

good work, a wise old-school boxer once said "you gotta be able to shuffle the deck" which means fight like winky wright, like ali, use as many styles as you can, and really learn yourself as a fighter. I was a pro for 5 years and by God's grace i have no brain damage, a good defense is like ur ppe on a work site my brother.

He just moves out the way no matter what punch is being thrown.. there are no natural reflexes being used .. that’s the key to good head movement. Just move your head even if you can’t see it coming
