i personally use roll and slip, combo: jab > slip > body hook and you can add a uppercut since a body hook probably gets their attention onto their body and not their face.

here’s a little tip, when blocking instead of raising your whole arm which exposes your torso making body shots easier for your opponent, try moving with your arm to block the punch in order to keep both your torso and head protected

Don't forget working your angles. One coach I watched made a very good point about teaching angle shuffles before teaching slips. Because a well timed angle change creates a very exploitable vulnerability to your opponent, as well as giving you less offensive options to try and calculate in that instance. Slips, blocks and parries are all important, but if you aren't using your feet, you're letting half your body completely go to waste.
