Meanwhile Indian cooking with currys use turmeric and black pepper for centuries! Seems safe if not a extract. 🤣

When I read the actual report, I understood that the people who had the issues already had liver problems.

I take that combination and have no desire to stop.
A teaspoon of tumeric and half b.pepper is what i take and irs not excessive, these are natural products and except this, all other studies have proved their worth, so i go with them.

1/ Use the whole food (turmeric, not curcuma). 2/ SMALL quantities. We have a tendency to believe more is better (quarter od a teaspoon per person) 3/ A few times per week, a bit. Refer to traditional Indian food. Those who found the right quantities survived and passed on their recipes...

I read the study, the key points not included was the cultural use of turmeric within the study group (they were American middle aged women) so minimal use of any spices in cooking/other nor the fact that they were in a sub-set of ill-health (which is why they were stuffing pills down their throats in the first place) and were probably over-dosing as well.

Regular minor use is NOT a problem.

Every single morning I take a tablespoon of organic turmeric powder mixed with black pepper and ground black seed mixed in. It`s kind of nasty, yes .I also take a tsp of organic ground ginger. I wash it all down with some organic Oat milk and I swear it keeps the inflammation (I have SEVERE arthritis) way down!

Curcumin Phytosomes are dosed in far lower Mgs since the half life is multiples of regular turmeric/curcumin, the bioavailability is maximized, the absorption as well. Smaller doses with higher therapeutic effects.

Yet another case of being better off listening to your intuition or being able to evaluate and reason for yourself (based on what others have eaten successfully for centuries) rather than listen to or get bogged down in "studies"

In all my food, which I prepare at home, I add the spice turmeric, also, 2-3 times a day, I add turmeric (1/3 teaspoon) and pepper (a pinch) to a drink with bee pollen (10-15g), hot pepper (0.5-1 teaspoon), Ceylon cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon), ginger (1/2 teaspoon) and a little honey. I've been doing it for years. I recently had tests done which included a complete blood count, lipid profile, liver enzymes and such... The tests show that my liver enzymes, as well as everything else, are within healthy limits... On an average day, I take one full teaspoon turmeric and a pinch of pepper.

Moderation is key. Just because something has health benefits, more does not always mean better.
