In this video, Dr. Berg talks about how to increase attention span, focus, and concentration. There’s a part of the brain called the limbic system which has something to do with emotions, behavior, and memory and it has a part called the hippocampus(which has to do with memory, focus, and concentration) and amygdala (stress and fear). The mammillary body is a connecting structure between the hippocampus and amygdala.

The limbic system is very sensitive to vitamin B1 deficiencies. Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome is a condition where you can’t create new memories and it is involving low amounts of vitamin B1 in the mammillary bodies caused by alcohol.

I am not sure why it’s related to focus, attention and memory but ever since I started intermittent fasting and stopped eating out and started eating home-made food, can’t even tell you enough the improvement I’ve had in my memory, focus and attention ... Intermittent fasting is truly a life changing experience .. 16 / 8 people ..!

I have been following you Dr.Berg for a year now and I am doing Keto and IF. The results have been great. My BP is way down and I have lost 110 lbs. I haven't found that mental clarity yet, and no improvement with ADD. I also still have the sugar cravings which is mangeable when I keep busy, but when I settle down I get bored and that's when the hunger and cravings hit.

it is totally true, I suffered from strong concussions in past accidents, and with the Keto diet, my brain functions have improved a lot. I can be aware of it. It really works!!

Good information. I have to break tasks up in chunks because I do have a problem staying on task and focused. Not so much of a problem but my memory is definitely a problem. I need to look up your memory videos I know you have more lol. 🙂

I have struggled with attention for all my life and I have noticed improvements with intermittent fasting which I started last year. But, the giant leap in cognitive function has been keto this year. It definitely has to be the sugar as you stated. Why don't doctors tell us this? I haven't watched all your videos, but if there is more info on other supplements (ginseng, ginko) that you could go into detail, I would find that very useful.
