Long way to go here in many areas... However, I am very happy because this year I decided not to take the cell phone to bed (I used to spend hours watching videos on YT). With this simple decision, I am currently reading my book #8 (started the new habit in January and after 60 days I now have consistency!!!!)

Regular daily routine : 2 cups of great quality coffee ☕
From a caffeine addict....

Plus I have a list of things to do
I write the list in Paper and pen... 😁

I have a bedtime/nighttime routine that takes about 1-1.5 hrs.
This includes showering, teeth brushing, going thru to do list, prepping for the next day (sometimes includes meal prep) stretching, prayer and relaxation.

You are such a wise man.

My friends Andrea and Audre and me just had a great discussion TODAY about this very topic! We all are minimalists, green lifestyle and do not own a tv. We were noting how when we each got rid of the tv (me 15 years ago) that our attention span and observational skills skyrocketed.

The absence of what I call 'clutter noise' calmed my brain, increased my attention span and de-stressed me in ways I never imagined. Add in getting out for a walk daily, getting needed sleep, staying hydrated as you noted, and my mind, body, spirit health skyrocketed.

And since then I have evolved to where I read 2 non fiction books per week, have a clean and orderly home, and send 3-4 hand written letters/cards to various friends and acquaintances, which they have told me, makes them feel that someone cares and that they are not invisible!

Thank you. It was even a little challenging to stay focused on this video. I found myself looking out the window, thinking about my day, hell I even got distracted just now while writing this comment. Thanks for the advice
