I remember being a laborer for brickies in the early 90s and the foreman asked for a huge amount of mud on Friday afternoon. I brought it to them and they didn't want it and told me to get rid of it. I took the bobcat and dug a hole in the ground and buried about 5 wheelbarrows of mud in it and put the dirt back on top. The company owner showed up at the end of the day and walked right over the spot where I dug the hole and sunk to his knees in cement. 😂😂😂

So glad im out of this line of work, the cold mornings, back breaking, hands hurting, knees killing me, the muck, safety reasons, personally I found it soul destroying, takes some doing to stick at it for years, well done lads.

I was a Mason tender for awhile lol we used to build schools and when the Mason asked for a bunch of mud and weren't gonna use it all we would just fill all the non rebar cells with the extra mud or make smaller piles along the scaffold and kick them off in the morning. Sometime if they wanted a full buggy of mud and didn't use it all they would have to stay late and lay block till it was gone. You get petty good at judging how much mud to order after a few Fridays of that .

The arms and neck ink fit the quality of work I would expect.

That explains why homes need maintenance before it's due

You can also put it in the guttering, like they did on my house and block the drain

I remember that I once remembered 50 years ago in the concrete door to door sales I was told to work late once and I went home instead

The end got me lol. When I was a laborer I used to throw mud away sometimes just to go home 10-15 minutes sooner.

I always loaded overflow into kiddy pool; in back of my truck, and use it at home. Built a sidewalk from house to garage that Summer.

Integrity and professionality are the heart of British builders.

Can’t believe bricks 🧱 cost pennies per brick and just over and under 1 pound and to buy a home is a high economy inflation of post code prices vary when the brick is the same price

This is why houses are built wrong and poor quality due to these sorts of people
