Finally, the French get something right. Immigration is a privilege, not a right...

This puts our government to shame and shows there was never any intention of protecting our borders or sovereignty.

For heavens sake jusf deport anyone ariving here illegally. No ifs no buts and no appeals. We are in the 21st century and our immigration law should reflect that.

The whole world needs these laws. Immigration is necessary for most developed countries, but uncontrolled illegal immigration and false asylum claims can be devastating to a nation's culture and economy.

This will eventually be in every European country.

Excellent law! It should be rolled out world wide! We're desperate for this law in the UK!!! Don't let them in!

As well as deportation laws, the UK ought to have tougher laws on citizenship. Laws that can be implemented if it becomes obvious that people don't have the interests of the nation and work against its values as we are currently witnessing.

NO LAWYERS CANNOT SIMPLY STAY A DEPORTATION, AN APPEAL IS NOT AN AUTOMATIC RIGHT TO A STAY. FURTHER DO NOT ALLOW THESE PEOPLE ACCESS TO LEGAL AID. DEPORT FIRST APPEAL LATER. FIND MONEY FIRST TO ENGAGE A LAWYER

France also sent boatloads of migrants to England, to maintain their own country. Makes a difference.

How can France do this and the UK are not allowed to deport?

You can have 12 hour deportation laws - until the lawyers step in and block it with appeals

The French have been deporting them to Dover for years.

I keep posting this but no-one seems to pick it up.
MP's in the House of Parliament (not the Government), have powers as representatives of the people, under the English Common Law Constitution, to amend, limit or block any international law which contravenes English Common Law Constitution.
But they won't.
Do they even know they have such powers?
Or are they just following their party line?
Do they think the Civil Service would rebel against such action of MP's
Or is it because of the intellectual quality and competence of most MP's theses days?
In other words, we could enact what the French have recently done
