How am I even supposed to have a US driver’s license if I’m NOT ALLOWED TO LIVE THERE

Huh? Of course our addresses won't match. I live in a different country, and am trying to immigrate to the USA.
I also don't think it's fair to write off couples who are touchy feely. I rely a lot on my husband for physical comfort especially in stressful situations. I would definitely cling to him. Also, long term waits in between engagement or marriage is a Western construct. I don't understand these red flags.

Funny thing is that in my case, we got married 2 months later, we were laughing and touchy, and we just moved 1 month ago lol. And we got approved, Whenever he saw us answering together and communicating as a couple he said he really liked us and he knows we are good people. We have our own business, live together, have almost everything together. Genuine marriages are easy to spot

Most states don’t send you a new license when you update your address with DMV. They file it internally only til the license is up for renewal, which can be years. This officer needs to rethink how they interview people

Of course, if you’re in different countries, you would have different addresses

How can driver’s licenses between the USC and foreign spouse match when most states require USCIS to have done all of their processing before a person can get a driver’s license?! It’s like a waiter asking to see how a chef made your meal without even having brought you the menu then saying, “Aha! Gotcha! You don’t even have a main course, do you?!” while completely missing the irony that it’s them doing a poor job from the outset. 😤😮‍💨 It’s so frustrating! I can only imagine how you must feel dealing with USCIS every single day.

The immigrant will not have a driver license at the time of the interview. You need a social security number to get a license

Me and my just got visa for her and my step daughter to come to the US. We was at the embassy in Dominican Republic the guy told us they were the number one country for marriage fraud. He asked us how long we’ve been together and we both said 2 years. He looked through my passport saw that I’ve been visiting her every month he ended the interview and said you will be notified within 10 to pick up your visa. BTW Congratulations on your Marriage. So I’m thinking they are more trustworthy of a couple that married there. But through this whole process I’ve learned that EACH AND EVERY CASE IS DIFFERENT.

My husband and i had 0 issues getting his green card. We have been together now for 11 years, but at the time we had been together 6 months. We didnt move in together until 2 months after we got married. 😂😂😂

My friends tell me that they get offered so much money to get married and papers in the us. I see that being so common. I meet many people who lives in the us that did that.

Most people don’t change their drivers license until it expires, they don’t bother updating the drivers license address just because they moved into their spouse’s house

The drivers’ license one is useless in some states. Eg. In OR they don’t send stickers anymore to put on your license

How are you going to have the same address if the persons are living in different countries? Driver's license is out! And their is no more Couple

There are people legally skipping line for a marriage green card but it won’t work for most people. The American spouse is using their parents address because the parents live in the middle of nowhere or a town with very few people. The American spouse may or may not be living there. Address isn’t always a problem for spouses but many people wouldn’t want to live in the middle nowhere.

My husband and I had so many red flags!!! We got approved in less than 4 months. No interview no RFE. Just travelled back home and they didn’t even look at my passport when I was leaving the US and entering Canada. I guess I’m a lucky one but what in the HELL. Why isn’t CBP doing a basic check?…

From the perspective of couples already in the USA, #2 and #3 are wrong. Many couples are very affectionate, they have great relationships and they may be nervous, it is perfectly normal, just be GENUINE. It is a proven fact that housing is extremely expensive in all states. If a couple cannot figure out their living conditions despite having enough household income, any reasonable officer will understand, just prove it.

For couples outside the USA (pursuing K1 Visa for example), showing plenty of affectionate evidence (photos, trips together, the “sharing” of literally anything) is a huge PLUS, not a minus. And don’t worry, they know what genuine couples do, behave, and look just by checking at the sheer amount of data you will give them anyway. Having different addresses is expected, with special emphasis on the foreigner knowing exactly what the address of their love one is in the USA, among other commonalities.

I didn't think the spouse was allowed to be there at the interview?
