There is another study which explains that it makes zero difference due to the fact that the protein you ingest is not absorbed by the body only while digested in the stomach, but rather all the way through the intestines, pretty much all the way to the exit. So the protein you ingest is available for 24 hours.

Again, this is dependent on the individual and their personal needs. If you're over weight, and attempting to change your body composition, skipping a meal goes a long way to help with that objective. Overall, cutback on sugar and carbs, and increase protein. Lift, rest and repeat!

With 16/8 just eat 4 meals each with 30-45 grams of protein now your losing fat and taking advantage of protein synthesis within your feeding window

Logically, it makes sense. Muscle protein is always in a state of either protein synthesis or protein breakdown. The more protein synthesis that occurs, the greater the capacity to build muscle; whilst increasing muscle degradation leads to less muscle gains.

Consuming protein more frequently throughout the day will favour the balance towards protein synthesis, compared to the IF, which naturally tips the scale towards muscle protein breakdown due to the body being more catabolic whilst fasting...

Extended fasting would be better since it helps the immune system more then nearly anything else, which is heavily involved in the process of muscle growth itself, but yea intermittent is useless

I do 16:8 average daily. And I'm shredded. I don't eat salads. I eat lots of latin foods.

But when you are eating, you can only absorb so much of any nutrients at a time, so splitting up ur meals and especially large doses of supplements is hugely beneficial

Man im tired of hearing about all these diets that are out now...people its common sense calories in < calories out...if u burn 2000cal and u eat 3000cal u gain weight...if u eat 1500cal u lose weight, pretty simple

According to Cienfuegos S et al. 2022 [Effect of Intermittent Fasting on Reproductive Hormone Levels in Females and Males: A Review of Human Trials. Nutrients. 2022] muscle mass and muscular strength were not negatively affected by intermittent fasting.
