Wow izzy thanks for using my idea to show the woodworking community a very cheap way to make shims so we dont have to go buy them! I really like the idea of using a movable top plate to create different size shims for different projects. This is fantastic! ! Thanks again izzy and keep up the good work!!

Making shims is considered very difficult to impossible in our carpentry so it is good to see a way to do it, especially as I need ten for a bed I'm making.

I'll have to vary the design as I've got stripwood rather than blocks but you'e at least given me some ideas. Many thanks.
