After tested drive both, my preference was C40 Volvo in terms of driving experience, acceleration and charging. But i am waiting for the 2024 C40 with larger battery capacity and longer range.

one important things journalist didnt disclose .
bmw ix1 came with 350v charging system . (the lowest amongs all EVs)
with those dc fast charging station u might only get around 60-70% from the total station power
eg
120kW dcfc, u might end up getting 50-60kw avg speed only .
180kw dcfc, u might end up getting 80-90kw avg speed only

Nice video guys, this really help those who really wanted to buy a new EV and by comparing this 2 cars that will help them decide which they want to go with. Personally I prefer the BMW cabin and the feature.. but c40 look is much more sporty.

Volvo numbers in the video are for the 2023 model. 2024 has increased range with almost 100km. Bigger battery and new more efficient drive train.

I think it's all about the pricing. For instance, in Costa Rica, the C40 AWS, fully loaded is $79.900 USD, and the fully loaded iX1 is around $71.000 USD, therefore, it the BMW is more appealing.
