In ancient Aztec illustrations depicting Chicomoztoc, two figures are present; one is notably illustrated, raising his hand in a gesture of significance. This figure is distinguished by an extra finger—six in total—symbolizing the giants of lore. In the mid-1700s, a German Jesuit also described similar findings in his letters, drawing attention to these extraordinary elements. I live in Sedona. Near here is a mining town called Jerome. In 1900, their local newspaper claimed an 8 foot Aztec mummy with artifacts were found in the mines, in tunnels that were already there. The article claimed it was Montezuma himself....of course they didnt know that. But the point is...they found an 8 foot Aztec mummy in those mines. The article can be found in David Hatcher Childress' book about the Ancient Southwest.
