The bad news in menopause . . . vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, urinary incontinence, and other uncomfortable vaginal menopause symptoms can affect your life and your relationship. The good news? Vaginal estradiol has been proven to be highly effective in treating these symptoms—and it’s incredibly safe, even for women with a history of breast cancer.

This video uncovers 4 scientifically proven reasons why vaginal estrogen, specifically vaginal estradiol, should be offered to EVERY woman in menopause. I’ll also talk about the misleading FDA black box warning that’s been scaring both women and doctors away from this highly effective treatment for genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM).

I wanted to take my life in 2015 due to urinary pain that was constant. It felt like a UTI that would not go away. I was prescribed pill after pill and nothing worked. I went to every “Specialist” and they kept giving all kinds of medicine. I had no idea that it could have been related to menopause. My last cycle was 12/17, so now I know it was a symptom of perimenopause. How do these doctors do this? This is a huge problem and women do take their lives because of these symptoms. Most doctors just ignore or want to put you on antidepressants. Was I sad? Of course! My body/vagina/bladder was on fire. I felt miserable! Estradiol saved me. I literally just started using it a month ago. Never knew this was an option. The painful sex was unbearable. Ladies, do this!!!

I too had urinary issues, similar to a UTI pain. I went to see my gynaecologist and she prescribed me estriadol vaginal gel. My symptoms cleared in a day....a couple of applications a month now keeps everything in order. Best thing ever.

Thank God Estradiol was prescribed to me by my nurse practitioner years ago. My current doctor (female) continues to prescribe, Cheers

Suffered with GSM for 25yrs with not one Doctor knowing about this, & yet they refused me HRT for 25yrs (early Meno + Hysterectomy) time & again. I was almost crippled with pain by the time an online meno specialist stated/diagnosed me within 5mins!

62 years old, I've been on Estring for over 10 years. Definitely works for incontinence. My issue: my insurance will not cover, and I look at the brand coupons, but I don't qualify because I pay in cash. My most recent refill was $551. While I can afford it, I imagine many women can't.

If a man’s penis shriveled up and caused painful sex, or inability to even have sex, plus freq UTIs, you better believe the black box warning on a topical medicine wld never have been placed on it to begin with! I am so over the sexist views on women suffering with menopausal symptoms starting in our 40s. BC survivor here, I chose what I need for quality of life, period! Bio-identical HRT and vaginal estriol compounded cream.

I’ve been on BHRT since 2007. I’m 67 now and have no intention of stopping as long as I can afford it. I use vaginal estrogen as well. I’m a medical professional as well and find it criminal that BHRT is not covered under insurance unless you are a man. Sorry, but I have no desire for hot flashes, UTI’S, or a host of other disorders due to hormone imbalance. It’s safe ladies. Blessings

If men were suffering the way we were, then hrt would be a standard and affordable treatment. Wish doctors would do more research and understand the situation.

Vaginal estradiol gave me yeast infection for two years! I’m back on my compounded cream, now it’s better.

I had a doctor tell me that my UTI's were from not being clean enough. Not one VA doctor mentioned hormones, I had to find out via YouTube. I'm 59, still perimenopausal and finding it very difficult to get help.

Thank you for standing up for women❤, My urology APRN prescribed estradiol due to UTIs. As far as menopause, if I had problems with it I was too busy to notice, 81 now.

77 years old, fibromyalgia since I was in kindergarten, ( I have never been able to put my hamstrings down on a chair), childless because of a large uterine fibroid, on bc pills or estrogen patch since my 20s for massive two week long period bleeding, ended by a hysterectomy. Started gaining weight in spite of good nutrition and not overeating. Now 70 pounds overweight eating 1 1/2 small meals a day, 16/8 timing. Every time I try to go off my patch (0.1 cut in half 2x week) my hair falls out and I get horrendous hot flashes, literally pouring down my cheeks sometimes. Last year I tried for 6 months to wean myself off but was so miserable and losing more sleep than usual. I have never once in my life woken up in the morning happy and feeling good. Thank God my husband is a cheerful morning person.

I'm so tired of these doctors not prescribing HRT. Where do I find a doctor that will prescribe where you don't have to pay for a Functional doctor.

So glad I stumbled onto your podcast. So that's what's going on. I first thought I had infection, then suspected worms and parasites for itching. Tx I am heading for the pharmacy.

After suffering utis for several years, I was finally prescribed vaginal estrogen cream by my breast cancer doctor. So far, I have not had any utis. I wish that my primary doctor had prescribed this years ago.

Quit having periods at 45. I could've used something before quitting I was having a lot of issues but since I quit having periods I have been fine. I don't have any issues at all and I'm 64. So thankful. I hope all women that need HRT get it and find the relief they need.

What about those of us who had to give up hormones because of a heart attack scare long ago and are now in their late 70's? we older women get ignored.
