Hey sis, HRT gave me my life back, I am never coming off of it lol, My mother in law is 83 and still on HRT, she looks much younger than her age and feels great. Watching Menopause Barbie made me go and see menopause specialist 3 years ago and I am so glad I did it. Love ya xoxo

Holy frack, the hot flashes. Nobody ever tells you that they are like being microwaved from the inside... absolute misery.

I have to say I got on the hormones late 64 yrs old. I went through menopause at age 52 I was have really BAD sleeping issues and they wanted to give me antidepressants I refused and my girlfriend said try HRT I am so glad I did. I sleep 100% better and it help with dryness and you just feel like a person again. Blessings to all the ladies that needs help with hormones🙏🏼🥰

A month and a half ago, I started on bio identicals. I'm 55, post meno. I could not take any more hot flashes/night sweats and frankly, a Sahara-dry vag. I'm on 100 mg progesterone and 1 mg estradiol, both are oral. All symptoms have disappeared and my libido which has been at zero for almost 3 years is back! I can't believe how these have given me my life back. I'll never stop because life is not worth it without them. Thanks for this video!

So glad you mentioned Menopause Taylor. She’s a dear friend who was the premier Ob/Gyn in Houston for many many years. I’m happy she has taken her wealth of knowledge and brought it to the YouTube community... Enjoy your channel 👍🏻

Awesome information. I have been on bio-identical hormone replacement for 4 years (I am 60) and it has changed my life and my health for the positive.

I've been on HRT for 16 years and I cannot foresee a time when I will go off it. My mother is 92 and is still on HRT! She saw a substitute doctor about 5 years ago who decided she was too old to be on it and swiftly took her off. She had several months of hot flashes, no sleep, depression, anxiety and generally feeling ill. Her original doctor put her back on it and she is her old self again. I'm not sure why some doctors don't believe in it or think that once you're "old" you can just suffer. Each case needs to be determined individually depending upon the health risks associated with you and your family health history.

OMG! I had almost an identical experience. I’ve been on HRT for about six years, and I got spooked. Went off for about four months, then went in for my regular check up. My doctor discovered I had zero estrogen! No wonder my eyes are so dry and felt like sandpaper, among many other symptoms. I’m back on a low-dose. I saw the menopause Taylor episode about what can happen to your body without estrogen, and I want to be on it forever! Can I just say that in that four months, I started to a spare tire around my middle for no apparent reason. No matter how much I cut back or how much more exercise I did it wouldn’t go away! When I got back on HRT, the weight just evaporated!

There was a very informative PBS show on menopause that disputed the WHi study. Finding a dr that “gets” menopause is so important. The show, Hot Flash Havoc, changed my life.

Does anyone else watch Angie for future use??? I am 38 ... My mom had a stroke when she was 50 (12 years ago).... she isn’t in a health/ mental position to be giving the typical mom advice...so the skincare, health and beauty info that Angie puts out is so “mom” advice for me. Love love love

I am the same age as Angie and am on HRT. I would not be able to function without it! I had the worst symptoms, not just hot flashes or night sweats but depression so bad it was crippling. All I have to say is HRT saved my life!

This was a great video Angie! HRT is so important in your cardiovascular health, bone health and hair, skin and nails…..the list is endless. I’ll be on it until I’m 90 😅 xx

This is such a polarizing topic. It’s such a personal choice...yes, choice. It never ceases to amaze me how judgy some women can be. There really isn’t a “right or wrong”, just what works for THE INDIVIDUAL. If you “gut it out”, there’s no medal or prize at the end, you just spent however much time miserable. Those who breeze through 👏🏼 for you.
Happy you are doing what you feel works best for you. BTW, I read a study not too long ago out of the UK regarding HRT risks and the gist I got was that HRT patches were found to have no extra risk. This helped me make my decision to choose the patch versus a pill. Thank you for your time and hope that you’re back to better sleep sooner rather than later. 🤗

So glad you found the information you need. Modern forms of HRT (not the ones studied in the WHI have a lower risk profile and the WHI was flawed - it studies women who started hrt at a much older average age - in their 60’s from memory so the results weren’t reflective of what you’d expect to see from women who started in their 40-50’s.

I weened off too after my female physician said the exact same thing. It was hell. I could not sleep, the sweats, the fog and the major blues. I went back on. My quality of life is important to me. I desperately need the hormones. Good luck ladies✌🏼

I love my hrt, wish I would have started it sooner. I’m 53 and struggled with migraines for years. Hrt has helped tremendously. Menopause Taylor changed my life.
