When you guys do a streak, you need to be conservative, like a monk. You can't believe that if you eat sugar, skip workouts, not earning money, playing video games, going to starbucks and going to bars and restaurants that you will streak and it's going to cure your lack of life success, do you? You need to gather all these resources together and use them ALL to your advantage.

So correct me if im wrong, but my understanding is that its some form of vicous cycle with dopamine. 1. You get dopamine high by bidge eating, alco, porn whatever. 2. Dopamine goes below healthy level and that in return causes a lot of pain, anxiety and depression. 3. You then seek dopamine (feel good drug) even more because youre in mental pain?

Thanks alot bob for these contents. Tbh i only started to take nofap seriously after i saw your video regarding dopamine fast and the most important part is the richard solomon graph. I am a victim of severe addiction. The withdrawal symptoms i experienced was quite extreme last month. While rebooting, using dopamine stimulants can be a killer especially excessive sugar for me. Your explaination about pain pleasure is what gave me hope during the terrible withdrawal i go through.

This is probably a big part of why cold showers are so loved. They cause much discomfort, and help to balance the yin and yang between pain and pleasure.

Good video Bob, your right about way too many pleasures causing pain. It's like too much of a high or pleasure and then comes big low low. The dopamine fasting or a little austerity can be a good thing.

Hi Bob, not sure if you are going to read this.
Wanted some advice. I've currently been trying to quit pmo for a year now, after perhaps 7 years of pmo. I have had some good streaks of a month this year, but one thing that always makes me relapse is ogling. Whilst inside the house I can take means to prevent myself from slipping, I cannot get myself to stop ogling at women outside because they are everywhere. What on earth do I do? Stay indoors till it gets better???

Great as always Bob!

There is a book on this subject by the author Johann Hari, it is titled "Lost Connections" which also talks about the damage that hyperconnectivity is causing us and how it is related to the increase in cases of anxiety, hyperactivity and depression. We have lost human contact, contact with nature, and the lack of attention from a hyperstimulated society is killing us.

Like always, amazing content. How does one improve sleep quality?, Usually i get 4hours of sleep when mildly stressed, so i decided to try meditating and exercising but non worked as i had hope. The best i got was 5 or 6 hours tops 😕
