My bro is trying to install windows on his newly built PC (fresh install) There is absolute no option to connect to a Network to complete setup of windows 😡😡😡 he has this exact motherboard and he successfully updated to the latest version....how on earth can we complete installation of Windows if the motherboard isn't detecting the wifi? We are stumped

Hey, which USB port did you use for the flash? one of the fronts? or a specific rear one? Also, I remember hearing some people bricked their Tomahawk boards before, hence the reason I haven't touched mine, lol... I'm thinking of going to a 13th gen CPU so it's time to go through this. :o

Thanks for the video, i had problem with file not showing when i entered the m-flash. Problem was i downloaded the wrong thing, there is " msi z690 tomahawk wifi" and "msi z690 tomahawk wifi ddr4" which is pretty simillar in the name, thankfully i doesn't let you install the wrong file. So if you don't see the file in your usb when trying to install, you are probably trying to install wrong thing just like me.

One question: do I need to freshly format my usb drive each time I do something like this? I always do out of habit when doing a Windows install media usb for example. But in this case would it be clean enough to just have any empty flash drive that’s already FAT32?

Question... If Im building a new PC with the MSI MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI and an i5-13600K, will it let me boot up, to allow me to follow the steps here?
I could down-load the new bios onto a USB drive on my old PC, but will the new one, with the new mobo, and cpu, allow me to enter the bios, and see the USB drive?

I just did this, but it still shows the old bios build date. Does the bios build date change as well when you update? Because I pointed it to the right file it restarted it, but it still shows old bios build date from 2023 instead of 2024 bios

Do you need a current 12th gen first to flash? Or, can you flash it while a 13th gen is in the socket?
