I am a fifth generation Aboriginal survivor of the most horrific kind of trauma… in my community we learned to turn the anger and pain towards each other- called “lateral violence”. I wish people in my country could understand this as well as you do.

The workplace has traumatized many beyond repair. Never have I seen such evil as in healthcare. Know it all gods everywhere, every level, every department.

Thankfully, I have never abused power. But I have been abused and bullied badly by people above me and it’s affected me deeply. I’m hoping to be able to stand up to these horrible people in the future should I encounter such abusers again.

This particular video should be mandatory for everyone to view. We need for the world to change to make room for generational trauma to heal. We need to stop the repeating pattern/cycle.

It sounds more and more like, people in business are taught these abusive tactics in college.

THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSON OF THE SERIE.
You are talking of Narcissists and their victims. You are right on the fact that even the victims can end there if not aware, but that is indeed cause both come from the same ground.. Even the Narcissist have been abused indeed.. Abuse is repetitive inside that generation, and than they bring it outside that world from work to all hyerachic systems, and all the situations you said..and we have now indeed a totally sick narcissistic society, all over the world, every country affected.

I made sure that my guys never experienced abuse, they were all treated with dignity and respect, my supervisor told me that I was too forgiving. My guys remember that I was.

I had attended the Jehovah's witnesses church for my entire childhood. This series is my first step. I will see my first counselor at 43 years old. That guilt based doctrine captivated my grandmother, mother and most of my family. It's my time now.

My father was brutal. I have trouble with the commandment... Honor your father and mother....

How do you honor someone that you never felt safe around?

I'm 68 and still working past Discovered recently that my inability to organize clutter stems from the brutality. I was never sure whether a decision I made caused the beatings.
Every bin of my stuff contains the emotional impact... As if I was a kid again...
At least now I have the awareness of how useless that impression is at this point in my life.... Even writing this makes me feel like throwing up....
Thank you for sharing your wisdom....
