Thank you so much for making this video. No, my doctor did not tell me anything like this! I’ve been massaging the scar area for the past few days and it already feels more normal (less numb) and looks flatter as well. THANK YOU!!🎉

I'd be surprised to hear of a doctor that actually told women about this at any point during the pregnancy or post partum or referred women for physical therapy for this. I didn't find this out until 15 years after my first c section and 5 years after my fourth.
Any commenters wondering if it's too late.. it's never too late. It seems to be a slower process in my case but I've freed up a significant portion of my scar and even the color has lightened a little on that part.

I had an abdominal/open myomectomy* to remove large fibroids and it’s I’m about 11 months post surgery. I have had pain in my hips, this shelf, the galore and no PT, chiropractor or doctor has adequately provided me after care instructions. So I will try this. Thank you!

Another great one, Jessica! I hope I do not need a c-section, but it is always a possibility that the need will arise. Knowing that there is something we can do to help the tissues heal properly makes it all a little less scary. ❤

I never knew this was a thing! I’ve always had a slight overhang of skin where my scar is that I’ve never been able to get rid of. Definitely will be trying these techniques. Thanks for the info! Hopeful it works (it’s been four years since my surgery) 🤞

So glad i found this video, it is very helpful! But i am so upset i never knew of this before, i have had 2 c-sections and was never told about this by any provider and my first c section was almost 6 years ago. I will definitely be trying this, hoping to finally rid myself of that shelf ive been so insecure about all these years

thank-you for posting this video, will try this as I have been using lots of different therapies. A 10 year old C-Section scar is not fun and is causing me lots of inflammation now. I did some heavy garden work, which was a bad idea as I feel I really over pulled on the adhesions only because I was using my stomach muscles.
To cut a long story short I ended up in hospital with breathing problems, I found that the inflammation from over aggressively stretching the adhesions cause stress which then effected my lungs. I am mindful to keep hydrated as well.

I didn't know it was possible to lose C Section shelf. I'm a year post partum and weigh less than ever before in my adult life, but still have a bulge above the scar. I figured it was scar tissue, not fat, and that it just was something permanent. My husband loves me regardless, but it would be nice to look sexy without the bulge. So definitely worth a try.

As someone who has had 3 csections this scared me, seeing how much roughness and pressure is applied to the scar, I really want to do these exercises but my scar area is so sensitive and I am 8m pp from my last csection 🥵

How often and for how long should we do those techniques? And do you have a link to the cup you used?

I love this! I had never heard information about this. I have had two cesarean sections, and my last was 13 years ago. Is it too late for these methods to help me? Wish I would have known about this sooner.
