True story. Years ago I worked in a facility that housed people mental disabilities. Anyway, one of people that lived (I’ll call the person Tim, not his real name for his protection). Tim had nicknames for everyone. On one particular day, the boss a very tall man, 6’10” came in with a new employee, a very short man, 4’11”, Tim happened to see them together. He started laughing and gave both the boss and the new employee their nicknames, the boss was named Yogi and the new guy was named Boo Boo. These names, once assigned by Tim, will forever be your name. Need less to say, Boo Boo did not care for is new name, and Tim being who he was, would not stop using it. Need less to say, Boo Boo didn’t last long, he transferred out to a different unit as fast as he could. About a year, maybe 18 months had passed, when Boo Boo came back to the unit. He had taken up bodybuilding, and was absolutely ripped. He look like Schwarzenegger at the prime of his bodybuilding career. (Although he denied it, he had been using steroids to achieve his muscle mass, you just don’t grow that kind of muscle in that short amount of time, but I digress). Well, he was in the building on business when Tim, spotted him before he could say anything, Tim smiled walked over to the former staff and said, BOO BOO, then patted him on the top of his head and walked away laughing. Boo Boo visibly shrank.

As a short buff guy, I can confirm that being strong makes me feel so much sexier. I wish some people would try pursuing strength in different types of exercise (sports, combat, physical work of different kinds like working on a farm or construction work, lifting weights, calisthenics, body movement, yoga even, climbing...) because the confidence you gain when you see your body perform acts of artistic quality and beyond your previous expectations is unparalleled. It feels almost as good as when you take a look at yourself in the past and realized how far you've come and how cool you are for learning to love yourself :)
