As an Asian I find this hilarious (and true for me at least). Sadly not all Asians I know pack light, or travel with slip on shoes!

I think what he says apply to all business travelers and seasoned travelers, but most times you don’t get to pick the security line you want.

I'm Asian and yes we pride efficiency over many things - why wouldn't you pack light and wear slip on shoes in the airport? it just makes sense

As a frequent business traveller and Asian, i packed light, wore slip on shoes and took every damm electrical item out of my back pack to put in the tray for scanning, my light travel on case only had 5 boxers, 5 pairs of socks, 5 shirts 1 extra pair of trousers. 5 day trip every time :) got to get through all the security bs fast lol

As an Asian, this is the complete opposite of we taking international travel. We use the maximum amount of luggage available, both weight and number of items. Also, they be pulling us over more bc we always be brining back them meats and fruits from the motherland

I'm Asian and I find this flattering.

As a Japanese guy, yeah. It's true, and I dont see it as racist, tbh, it feels more like a compliement than anything. A positive stereotype i suppose.

Asian businessmen yes but not asian village folk. I watch that show border control and in australia, most village asians get stopped because theyre carrying tons of food which they did not declare and that isnt allowed into australia.

Having travelled for business since 2000 I fully agree with his assessment and have lived by it.

It’s always a gamble the odds may not be with you. I usually follow the guys and gals in suits. Usually people travelling for business pack light

It's funny how true this is....especially in grocery stores though.

I worked on a state/federal recovery/rebuilding project where we had to make determinations on how far along a residence was in rebuilding process so we could determine grant amounts. The houses that were mostly complete a year after the flood were much easier to evaluate. I always selected the files with Asian names. The houses were always already fixed. My coworker said that was racist.

It might seem mean, but you gotta give him the one on old people. As I get older, I notice them getting in the way more. And that’s for pretty much anything

Stereotypes are an interesting phenomenon. If they weren't somewhat true, they wouldn't be stereotypes in the first place.

Reminds me of The Onion. “Stereotypes are a real time saver”
