Very often the individuals that I work with hear the person they love say something along the lines of who knows what will happen in the future, or perhaps one day we will get back together…but for now I think it’s best that we go our separate ways.

Our final goodbye was one of the most loving moments recently.
He held me close, caressed my cheek, kissed my cheek and when I got out of the car he followed me and kissed me goodbye.
He told me " If you become the best you, you can be I'll have no choice but to get back together with you." I've been in a really bad spot and ridiculously clingy, we also had a giant fight afterwards and have not talked much.
I just hope with rediscovery of myself, patience and compassion I can show him how much I've changed.

I think it's over for my situation:

Woman I thought I had a real connection with and dated for several months said she met someone else and wanted to see where that goes. She complimented me for making her smile and laugh and enjoyed spending time together, then she ended her message saying, "perhaps our paths will cross again..."

I'm not holding out hope from that last sentence, and really think she was just letting me down easy while at the same time giving a false sense of hope. I'd rather she have just been blunt about it.

Hello from the UK. My ex broke up with me of 5 years about a month ago she said maybe in the near future. She stated it could be between a month or 6 months she doesnt know. We have a joint mortgage together and have owned this house for just over a year. She said she loves me I do believe her but I feel like it's more she loves me but not in love with me atm. She broke up with me due to talking to here badly in our relationship not willing to listen and promised I would change many times and I didnt. I totally understand why she has done this i would have done the same if I'm being honest. Due to the Corona virus this has been very hard. I recently spoke to here and she said once lockdown is over we need to do a few things together, see how it feels and have a proper talk. Iv been working on self growth and I feel like a new person. I saw her today as we have a dog together and the conversation felt really good to me. we have never talked like this in a long time. It felt easy and wasnt to heavey, was nice and light. We both smiled and laughed was a nice catch up. I have been doin a semi no contact as we have to talk about the house and pets ect. I do love her and want this to work. My Ex said "its Not final" and it looked like we could get back together. he was always very kind and didnt want to hurt me either. but then he met another woman and got into a rebound relationship with her after 4 weeks of knowing each other! after their first or second date he texted me "I have thought a Lot. unfortunately I am going a different way." I accepted his decision and went no contact immediately.its been 3 weeks so far. he doesnt react to my social Media updates, texts me nor watches my stories.. are we done for good? we are still conntected via social media and whatsapp, but no contact from his site.

I need some advice. Please. My ex said she never ruled us out betting back together, said the she doesn’t know what the future holds. I was prob the best relationship she’s ever had according to her close people. She jumped into something fast after we split. She also told her mom she thinks about getting back with me a lot but the time isn’t right and she’s trying to figure stuff out for herself.
