Defeating Adventism #66 – Occultic Dream of Ellen White – Seventh-day Adventist - Introduction

This video is an introduction to 3 videos which will focus on Ellen White’s Green Cord Dream. This dream of “the prophet” Ellen White is bursting with direct and indirect occultic symbols and practices. There is virtually nothing Christian in this dream which is regarded by the Seventh-day Adventist as a divine encounter of its prophet with Jesus. That Ellen White had an encounter with an angelic being is not doubted; what clear is that her angelic encounter was not by any representative of the One True God:
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. (14) And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. (15) So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.”

Right on! 9 mins fresh!!!
The green coiled up cord.
The Heaven gold card.
The silver trumpet holding Saviour.
The little baby angels with wings. The house of cards is coming down.
So many loved ones have been deceived-but your stuff is waking some of the EGW idol worshipers up out of their slumber.
God Bless you!

I use to ask adventists about egw astral projection, most shrugged it off as a goofy criticism.

Adventists are very into doors. So into doors Dale Ratzlaff does a chapter on doors in his book “ Cultic Doctrine.” Shut doors, open doors, swinging doors, and the door an angel guide opened for Ellen to visit Jesus. It’s all about ego. Ellen felt good and important when people referred to her as God’s messenger.

TY SO much for exposing this occultic dream/vision...many Christians don't understand the non-Biblical beliefs of SDAism.

Really enjoyed this video. I have just come to your channel via the 2003 FAF conference. I was never baptised a SDA but attended their church for a time. I have many Adventist friends who live love dearly. I can't understand if l can see the truth why can't they.

I never heard of The Green Chord when I was still in the church. But then again the book was published 2 years after I left Adventism. This is bound to be a goldmine!!!

Question for SDAs: Presumably you believe that, as asserted in SDA Fundament Belief 24, "In 1844 . . . [Christ] entered the second and last phase of His atoning ministry . . ." Is your belief in a "second and last phase of [Christ's] atoning ministry" based on scripture or on an extra-scriptural source of information?

Ellen White communicated with her dead husband James. She was a weird religious freak rather than a strong mature Christian woman grounded in God’s word.

Ellen White writings are in harmony with the WORD OF GOD
Isaiah 8:20 - to the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Two great apologists, I can testify that these men do in fact read, study and research the facts from primary source materials to give us the best and most accurate information on the subjects they present.

I do apologize if the tone of any of my
statements about real grace has offended
anyone. I cannot apologize for using the term
"real grace, " though, for it emphasizes the
truth that there is a false grace -- one that led
to the "Christian" atrocities of Germany in the
30s and 40s. The threat is real, and it existed
in New Testament times. See 1 John.

I also need to point out that there is a
powerful tendency among those who have
come out of any cult to go from the ditch on
one side of the road to the ditch on the other
side.

I know, because I've been there and done that.
I have seen many people also bouncing around.
I was bounced but their stuff never stuck.

Of course we already know that Jesus is God.
Now, by Scripture alone, we need to expand
our ideas of what the relationship is between
God the Father and God the Son.

1.The Son is the IMAGE of the Father.

NIV COLOSSIANS 1:15. ì[Our Lord Jesus
Christ] is the image of the invisible God, the
firstborn over all creation.î

NIV 2 CORINTHIANS 2:4. "Christ ... is the
image of God."

2. He is the HUMAN LIKENESS of the Father
in SERVANT FORM.

PHILIPPIANS 2:6-7. "[Christ Jesus], being in
very nature God, did not consider equality with
God something to be grasped, but made
himself nothing, taking on the very nature of a
servant, being made in human likeness."

3. He was the LIGHT of the Father illuminating
earth.

NIV JOHN 12:45-56. When [a man] looks at
me, he sees the one who sent me. I have
come into the world as a light....

4. ALL THE FULLNESS of the Father (as well
as of the Holy Spirit) dwelt in him.

NIV Colossians 2:9. "In Christ all the fullness
of the Deity lives in bodily form."

5. He is the RADIANCE and the EXACT
REPRESENTATION of the Father

NIV HEBREWS 1:1-3. 'In the past God spoke
to our forefathers through the prophets [for
example, Moses giving the Ten
Commandments], but in these last days [69
AD] he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he
appointed heir of all things, and through
whom he made the universe. The Son is the
radiance of God's glory and the exact
representation of his being.'

6. The Father did HIS WORK through the Son.

NIV JOHN 14:9-10. "Anyone who has seen me
has seen the Father. How can you say, ''Show
us the Father"? Don't you believe that I am in
the Father, and that the Father is in me? The
words I say to you are not just my own. Rather,
it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his
work."

8. He even bore the Father's NAME.

NIV ISAIAH 9:6. He [the son to be born] will be
called ... Everlasting Father....

CONCLUSION

The point is that our friends the
Adventists are using Ellen White's statement
that the Ten Commandments (and other Old
Testament laws) are the "transcript of God's
character" to enforce Sabbath-keeping,
tithe-paying, ham-shunning, jewelry-shunning,
wine-shunning and people-shunning (SDA
remnant doctrine) behaviors.

And, believe me, they would include
circumcising also if Paul had not spoken out
so adamantly against it!

But nowhere in Scripture is the idea that the
Ten Commandments (and the other Old
Testament laws) are "the transcript of God's
character." Scripture makes a very different
case, as we have seen in the eight texts above
(and others).

The case that Scripture makes is that the Ten
Commandments (and other OT laws) are
NOT the transcript of God's character.

They are nothing more than imperfect,
incomplete and temporary SHADOWS
pointing the the perfect, complete and eternal
spiritual reality of Jesus Christ and His
Commandments.

In Scripture the closest we can come to the
phrase "transcript of God's character" is the
phrase "exact representation of his being."

Now I have nothing against Jesus Christ on
earth being the "transcript of God's character"
in human flesh, although I prefer the scriptural
phrase "exact representation of his being."

So if Christ -- not the Ten Commandments --
is "the transcript of God's character, " then we
should look to Christ's Commandments
rather than the Ten Commandments (and
other OT laws) for guidance in our believer's
life of loving obedience to God.

For nowhere in the Commandments of Jesus
are found Sabbath-keeping, tithe-paying,
ham-shunning, jewelry-shunning,
wine-shunning, people-shunning (SDA
remnant teaching) and circumcising
behaviors!

Therefore, if the Ten Commandments (and
other OT laws) do not completely, perfectly
and eternally represent God the Father, then
we should look to Christ rather than to them.

And if Jesus Christ and his Commandments
do represent "the transcript of God's
character, " then Sabbath-keeping,
tithe-paying, ham-shunning, jewelry-shunning,
wine-shunning, people-shunning
(remnantizing), and circumcising behaviors
are simply not on the true believer's
obedience list.

Many Adventists know they are in bondage
and may well be open to receiving this truth.
But being unaware of this truth, they accuse
us (Gospel Keepers) of doing away with God's
moral law.

And then, they say, "You can go out and do
anything you want, " meaning lawless behavior
and the casting off of all moral restraint.

They need to be convinced by Scripture alone
that since Christ came, all lawful behavior and
all moral restraint are exactly and permanently
contained in Christ and His Commandments.
These the Holy Spirit has written on our
hearts. And we show them by our loving
behaviors toward one another.

Again..Shockingly -- for SDAs -- omitted from the
Eleven Commandments of Hebrews 13 are any
references to Sabbath keeping, "unclean food"
aversion, vegetarianism (much less veganism),
jewelry avoidance, baptism-by-immersion,
Sunday-worship abhorrence, EGW adherence,
"teetotalism for thy stomach's sake, " etc.

While at Battle Creek in August, 1868, Ellen had a dream. She was with a large group of people. Some of these started out on a journey.

They had heavily loaded wagons. As they went, the road went upward. On one side of this road was a steep cliff; on the other was a high, smooth, white wall, like plaster. As they went on, the road grew narrower and steeper. In some places it seemed so very narrow that they could no longer travel with the loaded wagons. They left them behind and took some luggage and put it on the horses, and journeyed on horseback.

But the path got more narrow. They had to press close to the wall, to save from falling off the narrow road down the steep cliff. Now the bundles on the horses pressed on the wall and pushed them towards the cliff, they feared to fall and be dashed in pieces on the rocks so they cut the luggage from the horses, and it fell over the cliff.

They now went on horseback, afraid as they came to the narrower places in the road, to loose their balance and fall. At such times a hand seemed to take the bridle and guide over the risky way. But the path grew narrower; they could no longer go with safety on horseback, and left the horses and went on foot, in single file, one following in the footsteps of another.

Now small cords were let down from the top of the pure white wall; these they gladly grasped, to help keep their balance on the path. The cords moved along with them.

Still the path got more narrow and they thought they could travel more safely without shoes, so they took them off. Soon it was decided that they could travel more safely without stockings; these were removed, and they went on with bare feet.

They then thought of those who were not used to hardships. Where were they now? They were not in the company. At every change some were left behind, and those only kept going who learned to endure hardships. The difficult way only made these more eager to press on to the end.

The danger of falling off increased.  They pressed close to the white wall, yet there wasn’t room to put their feet fully on the path, for it was too narrow. Now they began to put nearly their whole weight on the cords, saying: "We have hold from above! We have hold from above!" They all said this. They could hear noises from the bottom of the steep cliff, laughing and worldly music; bad words and dirty jokes; war songs and dance songs; and cursing, cries, wails and loud laughter. They were so anxious to stay on that narrow path!

Now they depended more on the cords, which grew as they went on. Ellen saw the beautiful white wall was stained with blood. She felt sad to see it but then felt it was  all as it should be. Those who are following after will know that others have passed the narrow, difficult way before them, and that they can do the same. As the blood shall be pressed from their aching feet, they will not faint and give up; but, seeing the blood upon the wall, they will know that others have endured the same pain.

Finally the path ended at a drop-off. They was no path for their feet at all. But by now they were mostly hanging to the cords, which had grown to be almost as big as their bodies. For a while they were afraid. “What is holding the cords?” they asked. They were having a hard struggle, if they failed now, all the hard journey would be for nothing!

On the other side of the chasm, was a beautiful field of green grass, about six inches high. Bright, soft beams of light, resembling fine gold and silver, were resting upon this field. Nothing upon earth was like it in beauty and glory. But could they reach it? What if the cord would break? In whispers the words were breathed: "What holds the cord?"

For a moment they hesitated then said, "Our only hope is to trust wholly to the cord. It has been our help all the difficult way. It will not fail us now." Still we hesitated then the words were said: "God holds the cord. We need not fear." These words were then repeated by those behind: "He will not fail us now. He has brought us thus far in safety."  They then swung over safely one by one to the lovely field.  They heard voices Praising God. Ellen was happy, perfectly happy.

She said she would never forget this wonderful dream.

Are you going to tell all the Messianic Jews and all the people who keep the Sabbath that they are wrong? Why did Jesus say in Matthew 24:20 that we should ask not to flee on the Sabbath in the end times?

If you don't understand the difference between the Biblical spirit of prophecy, the original received text, or putting into practice what Christ put in writing--in tables of stone--and personally gave to Moses.
Is your Jesus the Biblical Jesus, or do you preach another gospel? Do you follow Rome's sabbath of the first day of the week, or live Exodus 20, and Revelation 22? Where standest thou?
Yours...
