I can’t say for certain why these Pickled Mustard Seeds helped me win top 5 honors in not one, but TWO major recipe contests, but if I had to guess, I’d say it's because they’re AWESOME!

They're delicious, ready in about 10 minutes, and they
sound super fancy! What’s not to love? These Pickled Mustard Seeds are a super fun way to jazz up sandwiches, hot dogs, and whatever else you like to use mustard on. Enjoy!

A sincere thanks for watching!

Pickled Mustard Seeds

1/2 cup champagne vinegar
1/3 cup yellow mustard seeds
2 tbsp water
2-3 tsp sugar or honey
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Place all ingredients into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. :et cook until the seeds have doubled in size, about 5 minutes. Let cool to desired temperature.

Tips:

Keep in mind that the mixture will thicken up a bit once it cools down, so it's totally fine if it's a little bit soupy after simmering for 5 minutes.

Toss in your favorite herbs and spices and put your own twist on the recipe.
